After dinner Steve and Iris took the kids for a hike....

...along the shore at Old Woman Bay in Lake Superior Provincial Park....

Then with the sun down, it was time to head back to the RV...

Stopping for Dinner

It was time for dinner, so they stopped at a Riverside picnic area...

..where the sun shone brightly through the colourful maples....

Steve got out the Coleman stove to make everyone some nice, warm, grilled sandwiches....

Scenic Stops

With the kids getting restless, it was important to stop and take a break whenever possible....

..like at the scenic pullout along the Trans Canada Highway high on a mountainside overlooking Agawa Bay on Lake Superior....

Then it was back in the RV to Wawa, for the obligatory photos with the giant goose...

Batchewana Bay

Searchmont

It was a bright sunny day, and the fall colours were spectacular north of Sault Ste Marie...

We are back home again after a week up north enjoying the fall foliage. We had spent the night at my brother's cottage for Thanksgiving, then left early the next morning before sunrise, to catch the mist rising off the lakes at dawn....with the moon setting above the horizon....

We spent the rest of the day driving north to get to Lake Superior, since the next day was going to be the only good weather day all week, stopping to make dinner at sunset along the north shore of Lake Huron....

It's the Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and we are busy packing for another short getaway, so I thought we'd just look back on some Thanksgivings from the past....

A Kaye Wiggs Thanksgiving from 2020...

...and a Happy Thanksgiving, from 2019....

So, we are off again, to see the fall colours up north, and hopefully this little trip will go better than the last one. I'm taking Steve and Iris and their kids along, since they've never been on a trip before, and hopefully they will have some fun. Although the weather doesn't look too great, so I better remember to bring their warm clothes and umbrellas.

Then, once we get back, it will be time for the conclusion to my White Cat sequel.
