This morning the whole group posed for a photo.
Well, everyone is dressed in their Fantasy costumes, and has had their hair redone. This morning the whole group posed for a photo. I'm not taking any contemporary clothes this time, which means they can't be photographed with anything modern or manmade, so we'll see what kinds of photo opportunities present themselves.
My Fashion Miho arrived yesterday. She's one of the first in Iplehouse's new line of more mature-looking dolls in a smaller scale. It's something I'd been hoping for for some time, but now that she's here in person, I'm not sure what I think. I tried some of my JID clothes on her just to get an idea of how she'll look, and some of it fits, while other stuff doesn't really work. Miho has the smaller bust option, but even still it's a lot bigger than my JIDs. Of course the clothes I tried on were made for small and medium chest JID. Miho also has a longer torso, so anything tight made for a JID will make an FID look out of proportion with legs way too long. Miho will need torso-hugging clothes with a lower waist. She has very tiny eyes. They are just 6 mm, and I could barely make out what colour they were. I think they are a dark turquoise green. It was a challenge to insert them. She has parted lips I only have one size 5/6 wig at the moment, and have two more on order. I tried some more casual contemporary clothes on her - I borrowed Leona's pants and shirt. The stretchy pants fit, but are too short. The shirt is from a JID guy's pattern, so fits her fine. I think it's a better look for her, mostly because the shirt brings down the length of her torso, and shortens the length of her legs. She is definitely more realistically proportioned than the JIDs, but she's going to take some getting used to. It's times like this I really need the doll to come with a face up.....but I much prefer Charie's face ups to the Iplehouse ones. So that means getting the dolls blank. She really needs a face up before I will know for sure what I think. I do know that this new size will not take over my collection, and I'm rather glad I didn't order one of the Fashion guys. When it comes to taking doll adventure photos, I still prefer my more dolly-proportioned JIDs. I'm not ready for the 'ultra-realism' this new line will require, so she'll likely end up a 'stand alone' doll. But you never know. Maybe this new size will grow on me.
"Oooops..." she said while taking off her glasses, and undoing her shirt, "I guess I forgot to tell you that I travel 'incognito'. I got so tired of every Tom, Dick, and Frog, trying to hit on me when I'm travelling, that I disguise myself." "Also, this outfit I'm wearing is a gift for you. It's a OOAK by a designer from the Ukraine. I didn't want it to get all wrinkled in my luggage..." What a relief! thought Mr. Ropuha. It was Tiana after all, and she was even more beautiful in person! "These roses are so beautiful!" "Would you mind bringing my luggage?" "What the heck do you have in these?!?!?" "Everything I own. I'm moving in with you!"
Tiana was flying in from California and then taking the train, so Mr. Ropuha went down to the train station eagerly anticipating her arrival. He paced the platform nervously with his big bouquet of roses. Finally the train pulled into the station.... Everyone got off the train, but there was no sign of his Tiana. Then an old geezer with a mountain of luggage appeared at the end of the platform, and he was holding a sign for 'Ropuha'. This guy was certainly not his beloved Tiana. In fact he bore a striking resemblance to his old Dad.
"What the..?!?!? You aren't my Tiana!!" Mr. Ropuha had fallen deeply in love. It felt so good! His beloved Tiana had agreed to come for a visit, and he was so excited that he could barely eat...
Mr. Ropuha was lonely. Sure there were plenty of other fun critters around, but no Toads to share his life with. So he signed up onto SingleAmphibians.com in hopes of finding a soulmate..... Soon he found her - a cute little Toad out in California - and they really hit it off. They spent countless hours emailing each other....
Efreet was disappointed by Ringo's poor sportsmanship... "Next year I want a different partner..." But they needed to work together one last time - to bring the tub back....
Finally, a photo of the winners of the Bathtub races, posing with their trophies... The team is especially proud of Eric, who pushed them to victory...
