It's Halloween, so of course it's raining out there! So out came the umbrellas and the clear plastic bags. Nothing was going to interfere with the annual candy-fest.....
Not everyone was going to go out Trick-or-Treating this year, but I managed to get a big group photo of everyone who was.... ..and smaller groups as well. First Leona and the three of her kids who dressed up.... Lonnie, Coco, and Holly.... Peach, Efreet, Bonnie, and Erzulie... Byuri, Effie, and Chloe.... ..and Paige, Nami, Elin, and Ringo.... I was feeling 'lazy' this year, and didn't bother taking the three Victorian children back to the present, and I left five at a birthday party, and three KIDs decided they would rather just stay home and hand out candy this year.
Next year I seriously need to make some more Halloween costumes, and maybe everyone will be able to participate. Assuming they want to. Or I feel inspired to include them. I was going through my box of Laces yesterday, and came across these four sequined lace shawls. I thought they'd be perfect for some fancy party dresses for the Kaye Wiggs girls, so pulled them... I also pulled two other laces, one for an Iplehouse FID gown, and one for an EID. The goal is to make them all up in November, nicely in time for all the Holiday parties.
When I was photographing Talyssa's birthday party the other day (photos still to come), I thought I'd take advantage of the setting to take a nice photo of Peach in her new pink lace party dress, with her refreshed blonde mohair wig. I had made her a 'Cinderella' gown for her own birthday Princess party back in 2015, but sold all the dresses, and figured I really needed to make her a fancy party dress like everyone else.
Alice was playing with her kitty.... When she noticed something on the table..... It said "Eat Me!" Should she, or shouldn't she...?
We went to visit our daughter this past week, and when we went to pick up our grandson at Junior Kindergarten that afternoon, he reached into his back pack and pulled out a necklace.
"I made this for your dollies, Grandma!" So I took a photo and sent it to him, to thank him.... Two doll cakes under construction....
One for Tiny Talyssa, and the other just because I had lots of extra 'icing'..... Just a few more photos, taken in the Greek Theatre..... And a shot of Jan adjusting Asa's hair on that very windy morning.....
