Immediately following the ceremony, it was time to take the 'professional wedding photos'.
They asked the only photographer they knew - me - so I tried to meet their expectations. Here's just a few of the favourites.... "Do you take this Toad, to be your lawfully wedded spouse?" "I now pronounce you husband and wife." And turning to all the attendees..." And now I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Ropuha!" "You may kiss the bride!"
Mr. Ropuha and Tiana had asked their friend, Smuzhka Raccoon, to officiate at their wedding. "Dearly beloved....We are gathered here to unite these two in amphibious matrimony..." Just then, there was a small whimper from one of the bridesmaids.... One of the little mice was having an emotional breakdown.... The groomsmen turned to look, hoping she would calm down and not ruin the ceremony... The other mice quietly comforted her... ...and the ceremony continued uninterrupted....
The bride and her attendants arrived at the crowded venue. All the girls who'd been invited, were dressed up in their finest party dresses, but the boys had come just as they were. Mr. Ropuha and his groomsmen were standing at the front, waiting for the bride to arrive. Tillie and Cinnamon were the first to walk up the aisle, followed by the three little mice.... The guests all turned to look.... Some got up on their seats so they could get a better look at the tiny little bridesmaids....
The wedding day finally arrived, so Tiana and her attendants gathered at the seamstress' shop to get dressed. In addition to her three little mouse friends, Tiana had also asked her two elf friends, Tillie and Cinnamon, to be part of her bridal party. Which turned out to have been a great idea, since you never know when someone really tall can come in handy.... "You look beautiful!!" And they were all ready....
Back in the summer when I was looking for more doll-size tents online, I discovered the world of "Pet Tents", but never did order any. Well, we happened to be in Dollarama the other day, and guess what they had? Pet Tents! In three different colours. And for just $2.50 each (Cdn) I don't know how they'd ever survive a dog or cat, but for dolls (which aren't very rough on stuff) they seem just fine. Here they are with my KID Lonnie (35 cm) and BID Eric (25 cm) So next time your dolls are begging you to go camping, but you don't feel like spending the money for an Our Generation, Maplelea, or Coleman doll-size tent, now you can fill a whole campground with tents for half the price.
The day was almost there, and it was time to check the final fitting of the bride's and her bridesmaids' dresses. Tiana's seamstress, who was also going to be in her wedding party, helped adjust her veil to make sure everything was perfect.... Then the three little mice got into their bridesmaids dresses... "Okay, everything looks perfect"
It was time for Tiana's three little mouse friends to decorate the archway where the ceremony would be held. They were busy putting up swags of greenery with roses, and ribbons.... But Tiana was very particular, and wanted everything 'just so'.... The mice tried to keep her happy, but they wished she would just go away. They knew what they were doing, and that everything would be just perfect.
I just received a shipping notice from Agatti that my two Feegles have been shipped! I don't know how long it takes for them to get here from Russia, but I'm hoping next week some time. I can't wait to see them! Here's a reminder of what they look like, although mine will be tan instead of gray.... They'll need to be painted, and then they'll need clothes - and wigs. Maybe I should make those before they go off to get painted. That's assuming I can finish everything else I'm supposed to be doing. So they may be hanging around blank for a little while.
