Owen and Adrian were leaving the Tavern with their newly acquired toilet paper..... "What brand did you get?" "Cottonelle. My wife insisted that if I was going to be trading her precious jewelry for toilet paper, that it had to be soft enough for her delicate tushle..." 'I see you got a 'travel pack'. You going somewhere??" "Yeah. My wife misses her mother, so we booked passage to the mainland. But I heard that captain had some passengers thrown overboard last week for clogging up the ship's loo." "So, even though this stuff cost me way more, I'd rather be safe than sorry...."
Refilling the box of chocolates, so no one will notice that she ate way too many.... The best way to travel is by Dragon Cart....
Narae worked at the local Tavern, and decided to make some extra cash by selling rolls of toilet paper on the side... With toilet paper being such a rare, sought after commodity, she had hiked up the prices.... "How about this beautiful, designer, diamond and ruby necklace??" "I have a whole chest full of lovelies for you to choose from..." "Well, let me see...." Recognizing a good deal when she saw it, she accepted both their offers... ..and let them each take a whole package....
I blushed and varnished the polymer clay fruit that Tanya and I made earlier in the week.... I went out and collected locust leaf stems to cut down for the pear stems. The pears were easy enough to varnish, but I had no idea how to varnish all the tiny berries. Then it occurred to me to just put one kind at a time in a small bowl, drip in a bit of varnish, and roll the berries around in it until they were lightly covered, then spread them out on a plastic placemat to dry. It worked surprisingly well.

"Don't look at me like that!" Sir Kyle braving the storm..... ...carrying the official Royal department banner.... ....on his ongoing quest to keep the kingdom well supplied....
Things were starting to look up a bit yesterday after an in-depth discussion with his doctor.
Turns out Jan did NOT have a heart attack after all. His heart enzyme levels at first had suggested that he had, but tests have shown that he didn't. So they cancelled the angiogram. However he is still wearing a heart monitor just to be sure everything is okay. They also determined that Jan did not have meningitis or an infection in his brain, so cancelled the lumbar puncture. But he does have pneumonia and they are treating him for that. He definitely had a small stroke. He didn't have any of the usual symptoms, other than confusion, and there doesn't seem to be any impairment on either side of his body. They want to do an MRI to get more details on his stroke but have been waiting for the Covid19 test results, which need to come back negative before they can proceed. They say the test results take 3 to 7 days because of the huge backlog, and today will be day 5. So hopefully we will know soon. I did talk to him on the phone with the help of a nurse, since he still doesn't know how to use it himself. He sounded a lot more alert and like himself yesterday. In the evening I got a call from his nurse that he was asking for a TV because he was bored. We took that as a very good sign, and arranged for one right away. My kids have been fantastic through all this. Mikey and Tanya have come here every day to be with me. They are on top of everything going on, and communicate with the doctors, nurses, and send constant updates to their siblings, who can't be here. They will even cook, clean and do dishes! The doctor says Jan will need cognitive therapy after he is released from the hospital, and the best case scenario is still at least three to five days away. But all the clinics have been closed due to the pandemic. So Mikey and Tanya have insisted that they themselves will find out what needs to be done and undertake his therapy themselves here at home. I'm so thankful for my kids, and that things seem to be getting a little better each day. I do appreciate everyone's comments and support, but am unable to respond to everyone right now. I hope you understand. And I will keep posting my daily 'smiles'...... |
