After the younger children went up to the attic to play, Lonnie and Lisa went inside with Isis to work on their needlepoint. They were all almost finished the projects they'd been working on all winter Lonnie and Lisa were in awe of Isis' tapestry... "A few more stitches, and I'll be finished too."
Muffy Mouse had brought cupcakes, and when she saw a space open up beside the Foxes, she brought one along for Kitty.... "Thank you!" Smuzhka was enjoying the cupcakes too... ..and offered one to Ginger.... "These are fantastic! Did you make them yourself?" "Could I possibly have the recipe??"
Russian artist aGatti released two BJD Dwarves for preorder this month.... Morterradd, the blacksmith.... .....and Vakhmurddarr, the Dwarf King...... I had a very hard time trying to decide what to order. One of each, or just one? Which one? Well, the preorder ends at the end of June, so I finally made my decision and ordered Vakhmurddarr. He's 32.5 cm tall, naked. So he's just chest height to an MSD, but towers over a Feegle.... I have two Feegles, and think they'll make a great threesome.
aGatti does not have a website, but sells her dolls through her Flickr site I have four little Manuna Mice - three girls, and one guy. They need names, and I'll get to that eventually. Anyways, after arriving at the party, the little guy needed a little help in moving a bench over to the barbecue... "Looks like your friends could use a little help." quipped Kitty, who was a bit annoyed at the little mouse who had squeezed herself onto the seat between her and Rhett..... "This is perfect right here. Thanks!!" With the bench in place, Manuna Mouse got up and started barbecuing. He was an expert Grill Master, having won the title on Masterchef, Forest Dweller edition. "Come and get it!!" "Yumm! Everything looks so delicious!!"
I had saved the beautiful hibiscus flower my sister had made for my April birthday cake... It's a replica of one of my favourite hibiscus, my 'Sun Showers', and I had saved it so I could take more photos of it. Last week I finally did....
Today is International Fairy Day, so I thought I'd post some of my favourite fairy photos.
Just a few from the hundreds of fairy photos that I've taken over the years... Holly started to pull out the frame.... Eric turned to look.... "It's an old photo of some family." "Do you know who they are??" "I have no idea." "I don't recognize them." "This is your attic, so I thought you would know...." "Well, let's take downstairs and ask your Mom...."
Eric was busy rocking on his horse.... ...and Nyssa was playing with her Mom's old dolls, as Holly looked around some more.... She noticed several fancy frames stacked against a pillar. "What are these?" She started to pull out the biggest fanciest frame, so she could have a better look...
Nyssa went over to a big trunk...."Want to see what's in here??" Holly came over to look.... "These are my Mom's old dolls..." "I sneak up here sometimes, to play with them..." *Note about photo lighting inconsistency. This series of photos was taken over six separate times, some in total darkness with just the little lanterns on (as in the last photo above), while others were taken very early in the morning before sunrise, and others late in the evening after the sun went down. I've done my best to make them look roughly the same, but there's no duplicating the look from one time to another.
Or maybe there's cracks in the attic ceiling, and it's a semi-cloudy day outside, and it gets brighter up there when the sun comes out from behind the clouds?? Sounds like a good explanation, and I'm sticking to it. Eric noticed the rocking horse.... "That's a really nice looking rocking horse..." "It's mine. I'd wondered where it had gone..." Eric climbed on to take a ride.....
