The kids were getting bored outside, so they asked if they could go in the house.... Nyssa wanted to go up and explore the attic..... Holly wasn't so sure she liked it up there... "Oh, don't be scared! We come up here all the time!"
There's just one Victorian ensemble currently available - Victorian Seaside, for BID
$185. US plus shipping. Email me at - [email protected] All the Manuna Mice arrived...... ...and Willie welcomes them... Two of them helped themselves to one of Smuzhka's donuts, and being the tiny little creatures they were, and not needing much room, they found some 'empty spots' to squeeze into.... "Excuse me, is this space reserved??"
The Khitrula foxes were next to arrive at the party. "Thanks so much for inviting us! This is Kitty, and I'm Rhett." "We are looking forward to meeting everyone." "They found a seat, and made themselves comfortable.... "What???" "This isn't our living room at home, so you better behave yourself.
People are watching, so please, don't embarrass me..." Today is 'National Nature Photography Day', and since we had to be in Oshawa this morning, we went to the Peony Gardens one last time, and I just wanted to share some of the photos I took.... It was the third time that we've gone there, and each time there were different varieties blooming. These first few photos were taken five days ago... These were taken today.... It's interesting how the colours fade as the flowers age.... The peonies that were orange last week, have faded to pale peach today.... As beautiful as all these flowers are, I think my absolute favourites are the tree peonies which bloomed two weeks ago, and photographed in the evening light....
I finally finished all the little Victorian Girl's dresses, and took a group photo of everyone together... Here's the original two, I made first..... Then the two green and pink smaller versions of Lonnie's dress... And finally the two slate blue and gold versions....
I bought another tuxedo, so both my FID guys could have one. But the shoes that go with it are so snug that it's impossible for them to wear socks in them. Which means they have bare ankles showing, even when they stand, and even more so when they sit.... Well, nothing ruins the look of an elegant suit like bare ankles glaring out. So my husband gave me an idea. What about socks without toes or heels - just a strap under the foot to hold it in place. Like the straps we had on snow pants when we were little?? Sounded like a good idea, so I cut some black T-shirt fabric into a simple rectangle, hemmed the top and bottom, sewed in a short length of black elastic, and sewed up the side seam.... Perfect!! Now the guys won't have those unsightly bare ankles anymore!
Holly and Nyssa were watching Eric practice with his hoop... He was getting really good at it... "I want to try that..." So Eric showed her how to do it.... And before long, Nyssa could do it too...
Smuzhka Raccoon was the next to arrive, and he brought a big box of donuts... "I'm so glad you could come.." Just then, Ginger arrived. She was new in the neighbourhood. "I don't think the two of you have met. Let me introduce you..." Smuzhka offered her a donut, and they sat down to get better acquainted....
