This morning the whole group posed for a photo.
Well, everyone is dressed in their Fantasy costumes, and has had their hair redone. This morning the whole group posed for a photo. I'm not taking any contemporary clothes this time, which means they can't be photographed with anything modern or manmade, so we'll see what kinds of photo opportunities present themselves.

I'm confused as to why one of you BIDs is wearing First Nations style clothing in a fantasy photo shoot. It's contemporary formal wear, not garb for play make believe.

She's wearing a traditional Cheyenne buckskin dress, and that's the area where we are heading to, so they will meet her there.

so far so good. Not a lot of doll pictures coming this time, but I knew that before we left. that's what happens with Fantasy dolls. there's not a lot of places they can be photographed.

May I ask how you did the wing pockets for Winston please? I am building a dragon from the Melinda Small Paterson pattern. In the past, I have stitched the wings on within an inch of their lives, but I am fascinated by your method. In your overview, you show about an inch of wire protruding from the wing pocket, and I was wondering how you conceal the wire when attached to the dragon's back. Your work is absolutely stunning! Thanks

I'm away and can't access the Tutorials to see what pictures are posted there. thw wires in the dragon's wings extended the length of the thickness of his body, plus about an inch more. the fabric wings were stitched along the body side about a quarter inch from the end. each wing wire was stuck through the body, and the protruding end bent downward against the body. after a bit of hot glue and strong stitching the wire onto the body, the open fabric end of the wing was sewn over the wire to hide it.

Forgot to mention that it's the small open end on thbody end of the wing, that covers the wires from the wing on the other side of the body

Thanks! We had a lot of fun at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, but of course my dolls couldn't go to that, which was rather relaxing.

Now I'm hoping for some opportunities in Rocky Mountain Nat. Pk, and Snowy Ridge scenic byway in southern Wyoming, in the next few days.
