Adrian and Kassia were very excited about the court date, as was everyone else in the castle. Then with everything packed and ready to leave the next morning, Adrian and Kassia took some quiet time to take a walk in the meadow.... .. and reflect on everything they had been through the past year... "It has certainly been quite the year...." "It certainly has been. But ....you know.....it wasn't all bad..." "...and I really got a whole new appreciation for everything you went through those first years after we met." "But I'll sure be glad to be my human self again." "But, that's assuming the Court rules in our favour." "Well, the Wizard seems pretty confident that they will." "I sure hope so. At least we won't have to wait much longer, and we'll find out soon." "A dragon just delivered this letter for you, my Lady." "It's Special Delivery from the Wizard." "What does he say?" "He's heard from the Fairy Court, and we finally have a date to present our case." "It's in just two days!!" "We have to hurry to get everything ready, since we leave tomorrow." Copyright © 2022 Martha Boers

"Just a bit more and then it's enough for today." Kassia came over to take a look... "So....what do you think??" "It's beautiful!!" "You've done an amazing job!! I never knew you were so talented!!" All Rights Reserved As Winter melted into Spring and the two of them became ever closer, Adrian decided to try another painting.... He called Kassia into the room... "I'd really like to try paint your portrait." "For real this time??" "Yes. You're so beautiful, and I'd really like to try paint your portrait." So Kassia sat down in the window...and Adrian handed her a single red rose. "Can you hold this for me?" "What!?!? I'm not falling for that again!!" "No, really. I'm really going to paint your portrait. Last time you caught me off guard...." "I just thought this rose would make a nice spot of colour in all the whiteness of your beautiful dress." All Rights Reserved We just got back from a short trip to Quebec, and I do mean short - much shorter than we'd planned. Unfortunately pain and lack of sleep got the better of me, and we decided to try the second half of what we'd planned, again at Thanksgiving next weekend. I had really wanted to visit Quebec City, and it turned out to be way more challenging than we imagined. In the past we could park our small RV in a big parking lot along the St. Lawrence River at the base of the Old City, but since we were last there they'd ripped up that parking lot and turned it into a park for the cruise ship passengers. So, with absolutely no parking anywhere that allowed an RV, we ended up finding a small private parking lot across the river in Levis right by the ferry docks, and took the ferry across. We arrived at the ferry terminal at the base of the Old City between the cruise ships, which included the Queen Mary 2, so we knew it was going to be very crowded. And no wonder. Quebec City is a popular tourist and cruise ship destination. The Old City and the Citadel are both World Heritage Sites, and with the cobblestone streets dating back hundreds of years, it's the closest one can come to the feel of an old European city on this side of the Atlantic. Rising high above the Old City, is the castle-like Fairmont Chateau Frontenac Hotel.. We explored the narrow streets of the Upper City... ..with the wonderful old French architecture.... ..before heading back down to the crowded Lower City... I was just happy that we actually found a way to visit and I got many of the photos that I'd wanted, but after four hours, my feet were done, so it was time to leave.... Copyright © 2022 Martha Boers
