So Kassia took the rose, and posed in the window. Adrian did a quick sketch and started painting.... He was making good progress.... "Just a bit more and then it's enough for today." Kassia came over to take a look... "So....what do you think??" "It's beautiful!!" "You've done an amazing job!! I never knew you were so talented!!" Copyright © 2022 Martha Boers

The photo of Kassia in front of the window with the sunlight illuminating her is beautiful! I love the photo of Adrian peeking around the easel.

Thanks. That photo of Kassia is the one I used as inspiration for the painting. It was interesting while painting her how little of her white gown was actually 'white', but was all different shades of cream, blue, greys, and even some browns. It's all about the lighting.

Thank you! The painting did turn out rather nice, considering I'd never painted a portrait before.

Maybe you haven’t done a portrait before, but you are obviously as skilled at painting as you are sewing, styling, photography, etc! I’m enjoying seeing the cats in costumes, and will be a little sad when the story is resolved! Leave a Reply. |
