Grace presented it to him...
With Jamie finally joining his family in the past, I thought it was high time to make a scabbard for his sword. Up until now, Milo had always worn the sword tucked into his belt, but that's not exactly the safest place for something that sharp. So Made a scabbard for it. Grace presented it to him... It was just like her own and Jude's, only smaller... He put it on right away.... Then posing with his little sister, Bonnie.... ...and with their parents...

While I continue to work on photographing the ever expanding parts of Baron and Naomi's love story, I thought I'd update on Jamie. I ordered him to be the son of Jude and Grace, and big brother to Bonnie, and had made him a shaggy blonde wig.... Having become totally undecicive in my old age, and having issues being certain about anything these days, I wasn't sure I liked his wig, so made another one, this time with a less curly style... ...and introduced him to his future dad..... Still not able to make up my mind, and feeling a bit guilty ousting Milo out of Jude and Grace's family where he'd been temporarily standing in as their son for the past few months, I thought I'd try Jamie as a contemporary boy.... I even considered letting him trade places with Milo, so photographed him with Milo's siblings.... He even went to school one day.... But in the end Jamie went back to where he'd been intended to be all along...with Bonnie..... Bonnie was happy to have him back... But I was still undecided about his wig, so tried the first one back on....and decided that it suited his Fantasy persona better. So that's how he will stay....for now......
I had wanted to do another Teddy Bear Picnic photo shoot featuring the three new little girls, but the weather has not been very cooperative for photography this summer. It's always either too hot, too humid, too rainy, or too sunny. Mostly too hot and humid. But I did finally manage, even though it was way too late for Teddy Bear Picnic Day back on July 10th.....
I've been having so much fun revisiting the Special Days series, many of which feature my Iplehouse BIDs and KIDs. So when someone on DOA was selling off her entire collection of older BIDs (at a really good price) I finally gave into temptation, and even though it was really hard to choose....I bought three of them....Elin, Aki, and Erzulie.... All three are from the winter of 2011/2012 and are in the original Normal resin which has a somewhat translucent glow. I do have two of the sculpts in other resin colours already, but felt they would be different enough, and looked really cute in the Normal resin. All three came with complete outfits, wigs, and shoes. They all had the 12mm eyes Iplehouse puts in most of their BIDs, and those had to be replaced immediately. Unfortunately the only 10mm eyes I had (that suited the girls) were the cheap acrylic ones. They'll just have to do for now. I didn't much care for the wigs they came with either, so spent some time trying on all the ones I had, until I found ones that I felt suited them. Renaming dolls is not my strong suit, and I usually tend to go with something related to the sculpt name, so fair Elin will be named Erin.... Aki will keep her sculpt name. She's the youngest looking of the three, and was discontinued around the same time as Ringo. Fair Erzulie will be named Lizzy. I think she's so cute in this resin colour.... but she needs some new lashes... With several of my original BIDs having joined families in other time periods, the number of contemporary children was definitely dwindling, so by adding these three little girls it means I won't have to always be changing dolls into other outfits for photos.
July 13th is 'National French Fries Day', so Lisa and Eric went to enjoy some freshly made fries at a local food truck.... "Something wrong with yours?" "Could you pass the ketchup?" "Thanks..." "That's much better!"
It was clear that Baron and the woman knew each other.... She embraced him, "It's so good to see you again..." "But...why am I back here??" "When I sent you into the future, it was never intended to be permanent. True love's first kiss was going to bring you back.... along with your lady." "All magic comes with a price..." "What do you mean 'sent him into the future'? Where is this?" "Speaking of your lady love, why don't you introduce us?"
Baron and Naomi's kiss was magical...... .....literally.... "What just happened??" And Baron was dressed as a knight....just like she'd imagined once before.... "Am I dreaming again..?" "I don't think so..." "Then where are we?" "And what am I doing in this dress?" "It's gorgeous, but where did it come from?" "Don't worry. I'm sure there's an explanation. You do look very beautiful in it." Suddenly they weren't alone... "I see you're back!"
Today, July 10th, is 'Teddy Bear's Picnic Day', and even though I would like to shoot a new version, none will ever compete with this first one, shot in Killarney in the summer of 2014....
*Story - A Teddy Bear's Picnic They enjoyed a wonderful dinner together, and while they were waiting for dessert, Baron asked Naomi for a dance... They both felt so comfortable together.... There was no mistaking their mutual attraction.... They leaned in very close.... ...and as they kissed, the room started to fade..... and thousands of tiny glittering lights....
started swirling around them..... Baron and Naomi went out on the terrace... "These gardens are so beautiful..." "I like coming here. Reminds me of home." Naomi felt so comfortable with him.... ..like she'd known him forever... Baron felt the same... He was truly the man she'd always dreamed of.... "I think we should go back in. Dinner will be ready soon."
