Saphira to the Rescue

12/4/2023

The sky cleared, as they headed south.
Picture
It was such a lovely day, and the fall colours were spectacular....
Picture
Emily wanted to show her Teddy...
Picture
"Look how beautiful it is here!"
Picture
Suddenly there was a strong gust of wind, and Emily lost hold of her bear....
Picture
She and Avery watched him fall...
Picture
"Teddy!!"
Picture
And he landed on the ground far below....
Picture
"He's way down there!"
Picture
Saphira had seen Teddy fall, and swept down to pick him up.  "Here you go."
Picture
Emily hugged her bear....
Picture
"You better hold onto him a little tighter."
Picture
"And keep him inside the basket."

Another Burst Balloon

All the unexpected wind gusts that had caused Emily to lose a grip on her Teddy, had caused a strain on the balloon, and it burst.
Picture
Picture
Picture
Winston was getting concerned.  "There's not many balloons left."
Picture
"No, there's just two more left for the trip home. We are going to have to be extra careful with these."
Picture
Picture
Picture
"But no one was hurt, and that's the most important thing."
Picture
Then Saphira sent the children off to play, so she and Winston could have some time together, just the two of them...
Picture
"It's been a fun trip, but it's so much busier than when it was just the two of us."

One Last Sunset

Later that evening after dinner, the tent had been set up, and a new balloon blown up, and everyone gathered to watch the sun set one last time.
Picture
Picture
Picture
Picture
They all agreed it had been a wonderful trip,
Picture
Picture
and they were looking forward to going back home tomorrow....
Picture
"Good night, everyone!"
Picture
And that brings us to the end of their trip.

I love these pictures, especially Avery and Nuri with the popped ballon on their heads. That just made me laugh out loud.

Thanks. I found that I got more creative the further into our trip that we got. After all, there's only so many flying, or looking at scenery, photos one can sit through.

The last two days I packed what would have been three posts into a single one, as Christmas is coming way too soon and I have an entire story to still get through before then.
