Magnolia Plantation

For today's post I've decided to skip to Magnolia Plantation, which was the last place we visited on out trip. The Plantation near Charleston has the oldest gardens in the USA, having been planted over 300 years ago when the original house was built. I dressed Lisa in a Victorian outfit to better go with the historical property, and since it was the only time I took anyone along in anything other than modern clothes, the photos taken of Lisa in the gardens make a nice single unit all their own.

So here she is, Lisa as a lovely young Victorian lady, exploring the beautiful plantation gardens......

Oh how beautiful.......I really do think that Spring has come when I see the magnolias in bloom.
And I loved the album photos with Lisa too.....she was dressed perfectly for the day.

It was so nice to get an advance-taste of spring. Now if it would just start here.

I had brought two Victorian outfits, but decided it would be too much to bring both Lisa and Lonnie along. One doll was definitely enough. I think next time, if I ever plan on going south again, it would be nice to make some antebellum dresses to fit in even better with all the old plantation houses in the south.

I had to look up what antebellum was! It was a term I had never heard of before, I learn so much just playing with dolls!
