After sewing 3 lengths of ribbon, each 4 metres long, together, it was time to pleat it all......by hand.... I baste both edges before sewing the light pink one on my machine. Then it gets pressed. The basting on the other edge will stay in until the skirt is finished....
In addition to making a new dress for baby Sena, I also want to make something new for Iris. it will a fancy evening gown all in pink for her to wear at Sena's birthday party. I also have additional plans for the gown, so it also needs to fit an FID lady....
Masquerade... All five of the JIDs I had at that time, posing in fancy dress with the masks I had made for the Mask Tutorial.... Four are in their own gowns, while Leona, who is usually a contemporary person, is borrowing Lily's green gown. After this photo was taken, two more JID ladies joined the group - Iris and Benny.
Nyssa came out to see what her Mom was doing.... "I've just finished a new dress for Sena..." "...and she's thrown all her toys out of her playpen." "..and is struggling to reach them.." "Do you want some help?" "Here you go..." "Here's all your toys back in..." But no sooner did Nyssa put her toys back in, Sena just started throwing them out again.... Nyssa was not impressed... "She's just throwing everything back out again..." "She thinks it's a game..." "Well, I'm not falling for that again!"
Iris had finished the new dress....and held it up for Sena to see... "What do you think?" ...but she was preoccupied with trying to reach her toys that she'd thrown out.... "Oh well..." "...I'm sure you'll look very pretty in it, and then you'll be better able to move around."
