Pink slippers for a Princess....

Perfect portrait in pink!

I must have missed this one when you posted it originally. It is so pretty. All the different pink fabrics draped make such a beautiful background, and the little mice delivering her slippers are too cute.

She is definitely pretty in pink. She does look like a little princess.

Last night I watched a re-broadcast on the Smithsonian Channel of the TV series Mighty Trains. The train highlighted was the Rocky Mountaineer, which travels through Canada. I thought of the BIDs having a train adventure. I know that they love to travel.

A train adventure may sound nice, but I'll pass.

The Rocky Mountaineer just goes west through the Rockies from either Banff or Jasper. The ads look great, but personally I'm not fond of train travel. We've taken the Agawa Canyon tour in Northern Ontario a few times, and I wasn't impressed. The scenery flies by and you can only see it through windows which are often dirty, and when the sun hits them you can't see anything through them. You can't see ahead of you, only out the side as it flies by, and when the rocks or forest are close to the tracks it actually makes me motion sick. The only time you get a decent view is when the train passes through a clearing or beside a lake, or goes over a bridge. In my experience trains are best in wide open landscapes.

Yes, my dolls like to travel, but I think we'll stick with an RV. Hopefully some of them will be able to go out in it again some time this year.
