Yvette in Blue

I made a Medieval cap and a feathered hat to complete Yvette's blue gown.  I also thought I'd try some different wigs on her, to see if she really wanted to be a blonde or not.  I don't have many wigs her size - just two others that might work.  First a straight dark brown....

Then she reminded me of 'Juliet'....

Then I tried the lighter brown wig....

Then I redid the lacing on the front of her dress, and gave her the blonde wig back. I did like her with the other two wigs - she looks beautiful in all of them - but I think I prefer her as a blonde....

She is definitely pretty. The menfolk seem to be eyeing her (laugh). The outfit is lovely on her.

Well, she's new to the court, so they are allowed to look. But only that. Lawrence already has his Queen, and Baron prefers the more 'feisty' type (like Grace), and she's Rex's sister-in-law.

At some point she will need a beau of her own. I've been eyeing Claude. He's young, like her, and has a touch of a smile.

She is lovely in all three wigs, but I like her best as a blonde and as a close runner-up the light brown. To me she looks younger in the blonde wig than in the other two.

She is definitely going to need a beau of her own!

I think she looks beautiful in all of them, but will keep her as a blonde. She can always appear in one of the other two wigs if I need someone with that look.

My favorite wigs are the two extremes--the darkest brown and the blonde. But, honestly, pretty in all of them. I love it when a doll has that kind of versatility.

I vote for Claude! I love him. Have actually been pondering the idea of getting a larger size Claude. But then there's always Tedros....

Some dolls look good in everything, and that can make it harder to choose. But that's so much better than a doll who is so picky that it's hard to find a wig that actually looks good.

I will keep her as a blonde, and might have her wear one of the other wigs if I need a character with that look.

I like the Special Real Skin Claude, and am not sure what the difference is between his faceup B and C. I'm thinking faceup C looks more 'smiley', but since they show him with different wigs, it's a bit hard to tell.

The medium brown is my favorite wig. I like that it has a hint of gold in it (or is that the lighting?) and I love how it looks with the feathered hat. The blonde looks better with the beaded cap. The hat makes that wig look messy.

The only difference I can see between faceups B and C for Claude is the coloring of eyebrows and eyelashes. B has dark brown while C's are reddish brown. My Claude has normal skin with faceup B. I've always loved the sculpt. I sold my SID so I was thrilled to get him in FID size.

Interesting how everyone has a different favourite, but then that's what makes BJDs so great.

I'll have to check the differences in the two faceups, but I'm in no hurry. I have plenty of dolls here needing outfits, so don't really need another. I'll just wait until their next Event and hope they discount the FIDs again.

Makeup A also has freckles in addition to lighter eyebrows.

I never even looked at Makeup A, since it's on Peach/Gold, and I don't like that colour.

She does look so much better in the blue than the gold. Both gorgeous gowns and she is lovely with any hair color, but that blue really suits her.
