We need to thank Kassia for loaning out her dress once again. Any time someone gets married, they borrow her white gown. But I didn't feel that the big puffy sleeves (which are separate pieces) suited Monica, so made her some more elegant, slender, lace sleeves instead.

The cake is the very first one I ever made, for another royal wedding several years ago. It's handy having a cupboard full of cakes to choose from in a pinch, since I wasn't even going to photograph their wedding - just mention it in passing - but decided to go down that rabbit hole yesterday.

I love that you live in a place with so many rabbit holes! The pictorial asides make a great story even better.

Monica makes a beautiful bride. The narrow lace sleeves really suit her well.

Thank you. Monica seemed far too elegant for the big puffed sleeves that belong to that gown. I've used the dress for wedding gowns before, but then the ladies had bare arms with short fingerless lace gloves. But bare arms wouldn't do in this case either. So I went to my supply closet and found some wide cream lace for long sleeves. Monica also didn't wear the big puffy petticoat underneath, so the skirt would not stand out so wide.

The flashback ideas keep presenting themselves, and once in my head I just have to try shoot them. However, some of the 'rabbit holes' take on a mind of their own (big surprise) so those will be presented in their own full length albums. Like this wedding.
