I've also started to catch up on making the Favourite Photos albums. Narae's art series will take up TWELVE separate albums. The thumbnails are all there, but only three albums have been completed. The rest don't open yet. And there's four other albums needing to be made, as well as several to be updated. There's also two tutorial buttons that don't open yet either. So lots to do!!
My poor crocuses have been up for weeks, struggling to bloom in this never-ending winter weather. I did capture some of them open on one sunny day last week when it was just above freezing.... But the last three days have been especially trying, with all the freezing rain and ice pellets, and then a whole second round of freezing rain. The poor flowers are up to their necks in ice pellets... When the ice finally melts, all the early flowers, like the yellow ones above, will have been destroyed. I just hope the ones that were still in tight buds survive.... In the meantime I'm trying to take advantage of the delayed Spring, to make some mushrooms for spring photo shoots. I know mushrooms are technically something that grows in late summer and fall, but these are for Fantasy scenes, so who cares?? The big mushroom has the top of a big 'house' mushroom I've been using in the background of some Willie photos. The top broke off a while ago, and I don't like how the top now sits so low on the base, so I decided to make a taller, slimmer bottom. And while I was at it, I found some ceramic mushrooms at Dollarama. I didn't like their chunky ceramic bases either, so just pulled off the caps and attached them to dowels. I filled in the bottoms of the caps with foil, then Paperclay. Extra details are made from Aves Apoxie. I hope they are dry enough to paint tomorrow.
