Watching Star Wars

1/2/2014

Today is "National Science Fiction Day", the day to watch Sci-Fi TV all day. My girls like the original Star Wars trilogy, with feisty Princess Leia and Han Solo.......and they love R2D2....

Well, the Holiday Season is almost over for another year, and I'm looking forward to things getting back to normal. I'm really looking forward to getting back to doll costuming. First up will be an Alice outfit, and then I'm seriously getting back to my Queen of the Night for Asa. Then Owen needs something so I can take my annual BJD Family shots. Then it's back to the last few commissions still waiting. I'm definitely going to take a harder stand this year and refuse anymore commissions, as I really want to get to all the different costuming projects I've been wanting to do for years now. Something always seems to be getting in the way. Which reminds me, I need to go to Walmart today and buy some yarn for a baby afghan which I have less than six weeks to knit. And so it continues.....  I have a feeling many of the things I really want to make are just going to stay dreams forever!

What a brilliant photo of the girls! And yes Classic Star Wars!

And an outfit for Owen is a must for the annual group shot!
And keep strong with your resolution to refuse any more commissions.......that baby Afghan takes priority over everything! :)

Yes, Owen definitely needs clothes for the annual family portraits, although they may be delayed a bit until he has something.

I bought the yarn for the baby blanket this evening, so tomorrow I can start. It would be really nice if I could finish it BEFORE the baby arrives. What I mean is, that he doesn't decide to come early and beat me to the finish line like my first granddaughter did by coming two months early. Or like granddaughter number three, when I did finish her blanket extra early, but she still came two months too soon.
