Two Little Medieval Girls

10/23/2023

I have a LOT going on right now. In addition to processing trip photos, preparing more segments to the continuing story about Baron and Naomi and their twins, taking photos for special days and anything else that inspires me, plus working on Matias's costume, my sister and I continue to get together weekly to continue working on my Fantasy Fashions book. It's been in the works for months now, and each time we get together we tackle another section or two.

On Saturday we started working on the children's Medieval costumes. Even though the first three were made way back in 2013, and have been worn in countless stories over the years, there were no full length photos of two of them. We needed them photographed outside in a garden setting, and with a frost warning threatening to put an end to my flowers last night, it was yesterday or never. So I redressed Elin, put on my winter coat, and arrange some million bells.....

Then there was Nami, who has been a Princess, as part of the Royal family for the past few years. But there were no clear, full length photos of her, and we needed one of her as well.

Thankfully, Jan brought most of my million bells into the garage last night, so they'd escape the frost to hopefully survive another week.

Elin est une poupée ravissante que je préfère à Nami, mais les deux costumes sont somptueux.
Elin is a lovely doll that I prefer to Nami, but both costumes are sumptuous.

Wow, you are working on a ton of projects! Thank you for bringing us such wonderful stories.

The girls look darling in their outfits. Your BJDs have the most incredibly pretty eyes.

Yes, I am. And here I thought after our trip that things would slow down and I'd get some time to catch up. But no. Working on books is almost a full time job, as is taking doll photos and processing them, and then there's the costuming. Just when I think I'm almost caught up dressing my newest dolls, then I get more ideas. But I guess it's good to be busy.

Forgot to mention that both these little girls have just the cheapest acrylic eyes. That's what I started with way back with my first BJDs (which these are among). Later dolls were more inclined to get inexpensive glass eyes, but I didn't shy away from cheap acrylic if it was the right colour and looked good.

You are the busiest, most productive woman I know!

The photos of Nami and Elin are lovely. The Fanytasy Fashions book will be a delight!

Thanks. It would be nice to not to have quite so many things going on.

The Fashions book will feature a photo of every single fancy, fantasy, and historical inspired costume I've made since I first started in 2007. it will include all the early costumes for my bigger dolls, all the fairies, then everything for all the MSD and smaller dolls(including the elves), all the Medieval, Outlander, and Victorian, and finally all the fantasy costumes for the Fashion sized dolls. The only contemporary outfits it will include are the evening gowns and costumes from the Phantom. We are already well over 100 pages, and nowhere near done. It will be huge.
