Lonnie and Elin are tying bright red ribbon bows.
Well, whatever the reasoning, I welcomed the opportunity to extend the Holidays for my dolls, as it gave me 13 extra days to take Holiday photos.
Today is Orthodox Christmas Eve, and my girls are busy decorating their tree. Lonnie and Elin are tying bright red ribbon bows. Erzulie is unpacking the angels.... ...and Nami is hanging candy canes everywhere.... It's interesting that today is Twelfth Night, and Epiphany for those who celebrated Christmas twelve days ago on December 25th. Which is most of us, who all go by the Gregorian calendar. But for Orthodox Christians, who are still on the old Julian calendar, today is their December 24th. There are 13 days difference between the two calendars, so technically everyone does celebrate Christmas on December 25th, but for people who observe the Julian calendar, that would be tomorrow instead of 12 days ago. Who knew?
Well, whatever the reasoning, I welcomed the opportunity to extend the Holidays for my dolls, as it gave me 13 extra days to take Holiday photos.
