With the really bad weather forecast for today, I decided to let my girls go Trick-or-Treating a night early. We put short candles in their Jack-O-Lanterns and lit them. Everyone grabbed a big plastic pumpkin pail and headed out. The street was full of children in costumes..... First one group arrived....a ladybug, a pretty princess, a pirate girl and a little elf.... No sooner did I fill their pails with goodies, but a second group arrived..... It's a good thing I let them go out last night, as it's pouring rain outside, and just supposed to get worse this evening. What is it about Hallowe'en and rain? So many times when my kids were little, it rained. I found a photo taken 24 years ago, on another miserable Hallowe'en night. I'd made clear plastic capes to cover their costumes, and covered their hats with plastic as well. Even so, just look at those drenched, droopy feathers on the front of Mikey's turban! He looks about as fed up as his feathers! There's going to be lots of drenched kids again tonight.

Oh what a shame about the weather tonight for you! I wish I could send the clear night we had over to you!

This is just the cutest group of trick or treaters ever! You just outdo yourself with each photo!

Thanks! I had to throw something together, so just puffed up Tillie's blonde mohair wig - which she was borrowing - and inserted a pipe-cleaner lightning bolt on either side. Comments are closed.
