Yesterday was "National Toasted Marshmallow Day", so it seemed only appropriate that when the girls went walking down on the beach, they came across some characters sitting around a fire toasting marshmallows. At first they were a little afraid of the fierce-looking griffin, but there was already someone else sitting with him - a dwarf knight - so Erzulie came a bit closer. They invited her to join them, and offered her a stick and a marshmallow. Seeing that it looked safe, Elin approached, and was also invited to join them. Finally Nami, who was being unusually timid for a change, came and joined them... Everyone had a great time toasting marshmallows with their new friends.

Oh my ! how creative you are ! Those photos are fantastic ! Did you make the griffin and the dwarf ? They are just amazing ! I particularly like the last photo, what a charming group of friends sharing marshmallows !

Thanks! Yes, I made the Griffin and the dwarf quite a few years ago. The piece is called "the Marshmallow Roast". A little knight comes across a griffin with a big bag of marshmallows, so the dwarf shares his long pointy weapons so they can toast them. I find it's fun to incorporate my old dolls and art figures in the photos with my BJDs.

I love when you mix your original art dolls with your BJD's .

Me too. They've just been sitting static in a glass display case for years, and it's so nice to get them out and pretend to make them interact with the BJDs. Unfortunately they can't be posed - could you imagine how great it would be if I could?

It's a great series of photos! You bring them all to life in each picture. I look forward to every new entry in your blog.

I don't think Elin chooses to be the daredevil - it's more like I'm the one taking too many chances with her. She seemed safe enough that close, but the wind was blowing in off the lake and whipping up the flames much bigger than I was expecting, so I had to quickly grab her away, and now her clothes smell like a campfire.
