Tiny Talyssa

I got in at the last minute on the pre-order for Kaye Wiggs Tiny Talyssa.  I've always liked Talyssa. When she was photographed with darker hair and bangs almost in her eyes, she always reminded me of my sister's granddaughter. But I missed the pre-orders for the MSD size versions.....

Then Kaye had Talyssa shrunk digitally, so now she was available in the much smaller size. At just 11" tall, she's an exact miniature version of the original, and what a great little friend she'd make for my Cinnamon and Tillie. So I ordered her.

The pre-order page says she should be arriving in April, but I've had enough experience with dolls from that company, that it seems much more likely that it will be the end of the summer.

Anyway, unlike Cinnamon and Tillie, Taylssa is not an elf, so she will need proper 'little girl' clothes.  And that means the other two will need them too. So I've already started knitting a sweater and hat set for one of them.

I'm using the leftover yarn from two other sweaters - Nami's and Leona's - and it's a bit tricky to have all the right coloured stripes, as there was just enough of the green for this one last sweater.

Congrats, she's adorable! I was tempted, but I have a list of medical things that must be tended to first before I buy another really expensive doll. I amost cried when I had to miss the dark tan Miki.

I can relate, as these are very expensive, especially considering how low our dollar is these days. Hope you'll be able to buy another doll soon.

Congratulations!!! I am so pleased for you.
And yes........the wait will be much longer than stated I guess. You will have plenty of time to finish this knitted set for her. And you really are down to the last pieces of yarn too by the look of it.

Nothing comes on time there. They claim it's when the factory says they will be ready, but the factory doesn't have our Western work ethic, and they don't have any problem saying what you want to hear, then delivering many months later. It's the reason I stopped ordering from them - it's way too stressful. But I will make exceptions if there's something I really want, that can't be gotten anywhere else.

Yes, I'm using up the last bits of yarn for these tiny girl's sweaters.

Any plans on releasing some sewing patterns for Tint T?

No. She's a size doll I don't sew or do much with. Plus my doll is still without her replacement hand (one of them broke when unpacking her the day she arrived) a whole 6 months later, so I'm not especially inspired to do anything with her.

But there's already some patterns that will fit her - the 'Small Fairy Costumes' for BIDs, and KW Tinies. You can use the basic Tillie bodice pattern from that to make any number of your own clothes to fit her. Or just go with a simple sleeveless dress.
