They're Here!

10/18/2013

Bonnie and Owen are here, and they look wonderful! I can't wait to see them painted.

Bonnie is a real cutie, with a hint of a smile. She's normal skin, so she looks very pale unpainted. But I thought it was time Nami had another little friend in her skin-tone.
Picture
I'm not fond of the big 12mm eyes Iplehouse always puts in the BIDs, but those are easy enough to replace. Anyway, Bonnie had a very warm welcome, as the other little girls all came to see their new friend, and help her out of her packaging.
Picture
I'm really liking Owen. He has great possibilities.  He's the most mature-looking of all the IH JIDs, and he has a nice strong, direct gaze. I was drawn to him right away when he was first introduced this past spring, but couldn't order him at that time because I couldn't risk him coming while I was away on holidays.  I can't wait to see him painted. I'd like him given some facial hair, as his default outift is going to be a Musketeer.
Picture
I see that I'm not the only one drawn to him. When I saw the ladies come running, I quickly gave him Hope's tartan shawl, so he could maintain some modesty.
Picture
I like that he's so much taller than the ladies - at least he will be. Right now he's in bare feet with no wig, while the ladies have wigs and are wearing boots with thick soles, so he's going to be considerably taller than they are.

Well, back in their boxes they go, as I have to focus on that last Hallowe'en costume today.

Martha, from the looks of those girls, I think you're going to need another JID guy around there! He's a really handsome young man even without faceup. I love seeing pictures of blank sculpts. And let's not forget your cute Bonnie! Oh what a dear little thing she is! Don't make me want one!!! Is she (and the other BIDs) basically YoSD size? Very glad you had some time to play!

I have a Kyle too, but he's already spoken for. If IH ever comes out with some more mature sculpts, I may get one, but for now none this is it.

The BIDs are technically YoSD, but I can't say how they compare to ones from other companies. I think BIDs are a lot chunkier. I do have two Kaye Wiggs tinies and they can't really share clothes - the KW girls are considerably slimmer.

Huge congratulations!
It is dolly arrival overload this week for you!!!

I love how the little girls are crowding round and helping their new playmate out of the box.
And I can't tell you how pleased I am to see that the ice-cream cure for hair restoration worked too! *phew*

And your lovely young man looks perfect as a mature sculpt, and it seems as if the ladies think so too.
And Musketeer sounds fabulous!

It sounds that Bonnie could be a smiling girl too, I didn't noticed that before. And Owen is going to be a fabulous Musketeer !
