Later that day, after everyone had had a good rest, Miho took Dominic up to Baron and Naomi's apartment to see his grandchildren for the first time.

"How are you feeling?" Miho asked Naomi.

"I'm feeling quite well, thank you."

Dominic cradled the little girl. "She's so beautiful."

"We are naming her Fiona Amelia Elizabeth..." said Naomi, "in honour of Baron's Mother."

".. and Elizabeth after Naomi." added Baron.

Dominic was touched, "That's wonderful."

"I think your Mother would have been so pleased."

"And," continued Naomi, "we are naming our son Daniel Ian Alexander..."

"Ian was my father's name." explained Naomi.

"and then Alexander after Baron."

"Both beautiful names..."commented Dominic...

"..for two beautiful babies."

What a tender moment with grandparents and grandchildren.

Dominic must be especially excited. He just learned that his only child is still alive followed almost immediately by seeing his newborn grandchildren.

Yes, it would be wonderful for Dominic to discover that his first son is still alive, and then almost immediately become a grandfather as well

I felt a twinge of sadness that Dominic and Miho's names were not included as middle names. I say this from personal experience. I have a nephew who told me that he was going to name one of his daughters in honor of me. A vindictive relative objected and my nephew didnt name her after me. He didnt tell me. I had to find out at the official naming. I felt the joy I had just drain out of me. I felt left out and kicked aside. I would have included Dominic and Miho's names in some way. Dominic because of the recent discovery and Miho because she raised Baron.

I'm sorry for your disappointment, but I had considered it and rejected the idea.

Wow, naming a baby can certainly open a can of worms!

I come from a background where there was a very rigid baby naming set of rules, and every one of my Mom's six siblings was required to name a daughter Martha after my maternal grandmother, if they had a daughter. My Mom's sisters had to name their first girl Martha, and my mom's brothers had to name the second girl (if there was one) Martha. If they didn't they were disowned. I found it confusing and embarrassing that we all had the same name and was honestly glad that none of my kids named any of their daughters after me. I'm happy that they all have their own unique names and I'm sure Dominic and Miho (who think like me) would agree.

Im osrry. No not disappointment. Just sharing ideas, thoughts and feelings on the matter. I think its all wonderful. I do have one question. I dont think it was ever mentioned. When Miho found Baron did she know his given name in infancy? Did she name him Baron Alexander? If so I would be curious to know what Domininc and his wife had originally named him. Please know its all in fun. I love details. .

No, it was never mentioned. There's no way Miho would have known what the foundling's name was. And I never considered that Dominic would know what he and his wife had originally named him. Hmmm....

These are such tender scenes! Seeing so imposing a character as Dominic cradling a baby wrapped in pink in his arms is lovely.
