the Tuxedo

Well, one thing surely leads to another...then another......and another.  I made one pink dress for a special doll. Then decided to use up the entire skirt, and made four more. Well, they looked like bridesmaids, so I photographed them like that.  People asked where was the bride.  I have a dress that can work for a bride, but what about a groom. I was told I didn't need a groom.

But when I was in the middle of photographing my doll's clothes, Owen was down to his undies, and I wondered if the tuxedo I had bought for Lawrence would fit on him as well. After all, Lawrence is away getting painted, and who knows when he'll be back.  He'll never know

So I tried it on Owen......and it fit!!

Well, not perfectly, as Lawrence is an FID, and is a bit taller, with much wider shoulders,
and longer arms and legs. But I just folded the sleeves and pants legs in to make it work.

Lawrence's black shoes seemed too big, but the last wedding I went to, all the guys wore
brown shoes with their dark suits, so I figured Owen could do the same...

The girls thought he looked very handsome

Of course, now I don't have any excuse to not do a wedding photo shoot.

And I hope I don't come to regret trying the tux on Owen, because Lawrence is an FID with completely different proportions - much more 'realistic' with a smaller head - and he might
look weird in it after I get used to seeing a JID wearing it.  Oh well.  Too late!

Wow! Owen looks so debonair in the tuxedo. It's no wonder the girls were smitten with such a handsome fellow. A spring wedding is in the air!

You realize of course, that now he's going to want his own tux :o)

From what I've heard, this tux, although made especially for the FID guys, is actually extremely tight on them. Everyone is complaining. I hope this one isn't too bad, or that I can adjust it some. Otherwise it will be Owen's.

I hope the tux will be a decent fit on your FID guy (although Owen certainly looks great in it). Having to adjust/alter things that are supposed to fit is a pain. Having to make a tux from scratch is something you were hoping to avoid!

I've not been too pleased with the fit of the few clothing items I've bought from IH for the BIDs. Again the problem is too tight a fit.

Owen looks great in the tux, but i hope, it will fit Lawrence too.
I'd really like to see him wearing it.

I'm thinking about Steampunk Outfits for my Lawrence and Leonard, but it's a lot of work and i'm not sure, i like them in a suit. So maybe your Lawrence will help me make up my mind. :-)

By the way: who will be the bride?

Leona will be the bride. She and Owen have been a couple for years. They even have several kids, so this is just going to make it official.
