the Snow Fort

I know I was supposed to be sewing yesterday, but with the snow melting faster than butter on a hot frying pan, I just had to go out there and take advantage of it before it all melted. So, on came all the sweaters, scarves and mitts again, and several of the kids made a huge pile of snow, which Efreet and Coco hollowed out to make a fort.....

Photo Tips;
1. The most flattering photos of dolls (and people) are taken in the shade on a sunny day. It must be solid shade, and not dappled shade, so I waited until mid afternoon when the upper garden was in full shade. However, even in the shade, the dolls should be facing out of the shade towards the brightest light, with the deepest shade behind them.

2. Knowing how wet the snow was, and not wanting my dolls to get soaked, I inserted the dolls that were going to be in the fort into a small plastic 'sandwich' bag with an elastic at the waist. You don't see the plastic bag, and it keeps the doll nice and dry.

Fabulous photos of them all having a wonderful time in the snow!

And what a brilliant idea about the plastic bags!
Another great tip...thank you.

Looks like they had a fun afternoon (and you too!). All three photos are great, but I especially love the second one. You always make your dolls seem like real children.

Your photo tips are a wonderful idea.Thank you for sharing your experience and enthusiasm!

Ah ha I had wondered about the snow effecting their clothes and resin . . . what a smart cookie you are! Not that I really need to worry about snow here, it gets cold and wet, but I have never seen snow on the ground where we live. :)
Hugs,
X
