I especially love Elin's dress. I had to tack down the front edges of the collar as the points ended up slightly skewed, and that was just not acceptable. Anyway, she looks so adorable in it.
I finished the five little pink corduroy outfits today. Well, not completely - i still have to sew the waistband on Elin's slip. She's borrowing one from another outfit in the meantime. I thought it would be fun to take a group photo with everyone wearing one of the pink corduroy outfits..... The original toddler dress was much like the dress I made for Elin, except that it had a straight-edged blue ruffle at the bottom. That scalloped blue 'ruffle' on Elin's dress was actually the collar of the toddler dress. I used up almost every scrap of fabric, making adjustments to the designs of the outfits in order to make everything fit. However, there just wasn't enough of the blue print fabric to make four T-shirts, so Byuri ended up with a white one.

At least three of them will go up for sale - the two with the striped leggings, and one of the overalls sets. But I first need to take studio photos.

Naturally I was hoping for the one on Elin, but had a feeling you might want to be keeping that one. They are all cute, but that one's especially sweet.

I was surprised how nice that dress looked when it was done. I think I may have to make some more dresses in that style (eventually) Different fabrics, of course, as that combo is all used up. 6/12/2014 08:55:21 pm
What great outfits! It's lovely to see how many you got out of the original human-size dress. :D

Thanks! The scary thing is that if I could make five BID dresses out of one little toddler dress, then how many outfits will I need to sew to make a dent in the two or three boxes of old clothes I have saved up to be turned into doll clothes?? Hundreds? Thousands? Hopefully less, if I make them for the larger dolls. But I have lots of saris, and many of those are lengths of fabric at least six metres long!
