The children were having a wonderful time... ...giving the ladies a chance to catch up on the latest news. Paige was the oldest of all the children and had reached that in-between age where she was starting to feel too old to hang out with the younger children, and sought out more adult company. Meanwhile, Lisa was keeping to herself... Nami noticed her sitting all alone.... ...and went over to talk to her... Naomi also noticed... ...and sat down to talk to her. "I noticed you are over here all by yourself. Are you okay?" "I don't know. I'm really missing my family. Especially all my little brothers and sisters." "I don't understand why Mama needed to send me here."" "I can understand that it's very difficult for you, and that you are feeling lonely, and missing everyone back home." "The people here are very nice and welcoming," she continued, "and I expect that you'll start to feel comfortable here very soon." "In the meantime, why don't you ask your aunt for some writing paper, so you can keep in touch with your family back home? I'm sure they'd love to hear from you. "

Winston only makes special deliveries, like for the King. He's too busy to be just a regular mail delivery service for everyone.

Naomi certainly understands how it feels to be away from family and friends. She is the perfect person to speak with Lisa.

Poor little Lisa must be feeling overwhelmed and homesick, it is very nice that Nami and Naomi are observant and have tender hearts. Comments are closed.
