I decided to participate in a 'Curiosity Shoppe' challenge last week, so set one up on the dining room table. For inspiration I used the Dickens story about a girl and her grandfather who lived in a Curiosity shop. After setting up some walls, and placing some furniture, I filled the shop with all kinds of things there might have been back in Victorian times..... I chose Holly to be the 'granddaughter'....and started taking photos.... Her grandfather is working on fixing an old Knight puppet...

I LOVE this! Especially the jar of glass eyes, which made me laugh out loud. So creative! Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness, I love this shop! How do you have so many wonderful tiny things? Everything fits together nicely. I love the penguin in the pram.

I've been saving up props for years, so it was easy to fill the shop. I thought a stuffed penguin would make a good curiosity, and what better place to store it than in an old pram?

It's a wonderful Curiosity Shoppe!! There are so many tiny details... even a glimpse of a customer outside the shop window! I love how Holly is watching her grandfather so intently.

This is marvelous! Delightful and very realistic too (reminds me of my favorite out-of-the-way antique shops). : )
