With the mice playing the Sugar Plum Fairies this year, we needed an appropriately diminutive individual to play the role of the Nutcracker Prince opposite them. Well, Mr. Ropuha the Toad was only too happy to step in and give it a try.... "Okay, let's get this show on the road!" For someone new to ballet, he did quite a good job. Of course some fine nylon thread
tied to the chandelier above, and a few pieces of well-placed eye putty helped too.

What a feast for the eyes your wonderful work is! In all the years of being on the net your sculotured figures have amazed me the most!

Thanks! Just goes to show how one idea leads to another, because a week ago I only intended to dress the mice as ballerinas.

Thank you! That first picture of the Toad with his attitude just makes me smile every tine I look at it too. And to think I just got the idea to make him the Nutcracker Prince three days ago.

He is a great Prince. Fortunately his part doesn't include pointe. :-)

Good thing, because his feet are huge, and they wouldn't pose on pointe even if he wanted to.
