June 17th was 'Global Garbage Man Day', and falling on a Thursday, which is our real garbage and recycling day, I decided to follow Owen (who was temporarily helping out at the local waste disposal department) as he made his rounds around town.....

Thanks. I would have liked a shot with an actual garbage truck as well, but felt too self-conscious to do that when they went past our house. 6/19/2021 10:34:49 am
I love this. He looks so real. My favorite is No 4. Haha, if everyone would fold their old newspapers so neatly and recycle so carefully, the guys would certainly appreciate it.

Thanks. I thought he looked very convincing as a garbage man as well. yes, I'm sure theirs isn't an easy job.

I love how everything looks so real, even the compost bin! Steve looks like he takes his job very seriously.

Thanks. I always aim for 'realism', and that compost bin is actually full of the real thing - shredded banana peel, dead flowers, and crushed egg shells. Well, only the top. There's a plastic bag stuffed inside so I wouldn't need quite as much. Comments are closed.
