Baron and Naomi had decided that the best place to host Winston and Saphira and their four rambunctious little ones, would be outside on the terrace. Saphira and Nuri drew close to Naomi, who was holding baby Daniel..... While Winston and two of the young dragons were curious about little Fiona... But Elliot was more interested in the babys' toys... Baron was keeping a watchful eye... He trusted Winston and Saphira, and realized their little ones had never seen human babies before, and that they were just curious, but the safety of his children was his prime concern. "Your babies are so cute." commented Saphira, "But they seem rather helpless, and very dependent." "...and not at all like baby dragons, who can walk and talk from the moment they hatch." "It does take human babies a while to become more mobile and independent." agreed Naomi. "They remind me of you when Miho and I first found you." added Winston. "But you were a little older." Naomi and Saphira started to become a bit concerned.... It seemed like Scorch and Sparkle were having too much fun rocking Fiona's cradle. Baron didn't want to start their relationship off on the wrong foot by scolding the dragon toddlers, so he picked up Fiona.... ...and Elliot immediately jumped into her empty cradle... "Such a beautiful baby." commented Saphira. Danial started to whimper.... ...and all the little dragons crowded round to see. "Is he okay?" "Yes, he's fine. I think he's just hungry." Noting the concern his children had for the whimpering baby, "I think our children are going to be good friends some day," observed Winston. "Yes, I think so too."

I like how you imagined the connection between the human children and the dragon children. It seems very real.

Those baby dragonsare scene stealers for sure! They are hilarious and so like many rambunctious children I've known over the years . Scorch and Sparkle rocking the cradle enthusiastically was so funny and easy to picture. I suspect that the dragons and the twins will be a lively group as they grow up together. Comments are closed.
