the Count and His Lady

Like most years, Halloween snuck up on me. I had wanted to sew some new costumes for the kids, but time just went by way too fast. And then suddenly the day was here. It just seemed way too much work to dress up all the kids again - for the umpteenth time - and since I had Baron and Naomi standing in my work space, I figured I'd dress them up for Halloween this time.

So he ended up in the Phantom's outfit, without the mask, and she put on Iris' Dark Fairy costume and a black wig.  I had wanted to carve the little pumpkins, but they were hard as a rock and I couldn't even get our sharpest knife to make a dent. So forget that....

Miho's castle, from earlier that day, made the perfect setting for the elegant couple....

Then Winston came in. He needed a little help putting on his mask....

Your retrospective yesterday got me looking at the archives, and I found a few photos that had "time-traveled" into the wrong posts. Weebly being weebly again, I suppose. Here they are:

Lawrence's surcoat appears in https://www.antiquelilac.com/blog/riding-the-clifftops

Outlander-costume photos appear in https://www.antiquelilac.com/blog/some-new-fairies and https://www.antiquelilac.com/blog/arriving and https://www.antiquelilac.com/blog/the-first-project and https://www.antiquelilac.com/blog/abc

I appreciate being told where the wrong photos pop up. Yes it's a Weebly thing. I can't ever use the same photo number for another photo or Weebly will replace the older one with the new one. I've been assigning a new alphabet code to the photo numbers every time I use a new memory card in the hopes of preventing it, but some still sneak by.

so, do let me know when you discover photos in the wrong places.

They look great. Baron is all his stunning self. Naomis wig is too dark for my taste, but she looks amazing in the costume too.

Naomi is only earring the black wig for Halloween photos.

Baron is dashing as usual :), I like Naomi in different costume as well. This dark wig and it's shape reminded me of Jane Seymour in Scarlet Pimpernel from 1982 :).

In real life, Naomi with the dark wig reminded me of a young Cher, and Claire in Outlander.

Baron makes a dashing count. Naomi's dark wig makes a good disguise for her; she's barely recognizable in it. I hadn't thought of it until you mentioned it, but she does remind me of Cher :o)

Baron always looks great in formal wear.

It's amazing how different a wig can make a doll look. That black wig was way too 'bushy' even after I stitched it down some. But it was just a Halloween wig for Naomi, so I didn't really care.

I love how you have posed them. They could be the Count and Countess of somewhere.
