the Cabin in the Woods

Meanwhile, Elora was wrapped in a blanket, and had her leg elevated. They were all warming up nicely with a cup of hot chocolate.
Picture
"So, I'm wondering what you were doing all alone in the woods?"
Picture
"It's Christmas Eve, and I was going to the village to see the baby in the manger in the stable at the Inn.  But I saw some bunnies .......and followed them into the woods...... and got lost......and tripped and hurt myself.... "
Picture
Hans chuckled,   "I live across the street from the Inn, and there isn't any baby there."
Picture
"I thought Christmas was about the birth of the new King,
so I was going to the castle to see Him there..."
Picture
"Well, I live at the castle, and there's no new baby there. At least there wasn't when I left..."
Picture
Nick had to smile inside, at the thought of these two innocent little children, both out in a snowstorm on Christmas Eve, looking for the Christ child.
Picture
"Yes Christmas is a celebration of the newborn King who was laid in a manger,
but that happened a very long time ago, in a country far, far away.
I'm sorry, but you aren't going to find Him in a stable or castle here, or now."
Picture
Both Hans and Elora looked rather disappointed.
So Nora offered them another cookie....

*That brings us to the end of Chapter 2

The Story is very sweet and your photos are absolutely stunning.

Thank you so much for the effort you've put into everything.

If you ever think about printing the story as a book, i'd like to buy a copy. :-)

Thanks. Maybe some day when I figure out how to do books at a reasonable price, this story would make a good candidate.

Thanks. I'm so glad. you are enjoying it. I expect it will continue for much of this month, since it ended up being rather long.

How sweet that the children are seeking the Christ child.

I am happy that you say this will be a long story. I am savoring it.

There used to be a way that folks could self-publish through Amazon. The books would be printed on demand. I don't know if it is still possible though.

Yes, it's definitely a long story, and I'm going to take my time with it. We just finished the first two chapters, and there's five more to go. Then I'm also considering a 'Making of' album.

If and when I get to doing books, I want something quality. But I'm not ready for that yet.
