Taylor

1/6/2016

I've been asked to post some pictures of Taylor, my other MIM doll. Even though I used her as a clothing model for some of the outfits that went with Jasmine, I never took any photos of her in them. I wish I had, since the 'Mix & Match" modern outfit really looked very nice on her.

Anyway, I dressed Taylor in my Kaye Wiggs Miki's outfit, since she was still modelling the second green lace dress - exactly the same as Jasmine's green lace dress (I made two). Even though the patterns I designed for my Kaye Wiggs MSDs do fit the MIM dolls, the MIM dolls don't fill out the chest area quite as nicely. Anyway, in order to compare Taylor's new look, as opposed to the way she came, I should first post one of the photos from when she first arrived....

And now, after being sprayed with matte sealer, and given new, smaller eyes, and lashes.
Charie also enhanced her freckles a bit, since they were almost invisible.

The transformation is amazing! She is beautiful and looks very cute in Miki's outfit. I can see why you kept her :o)

Mostly I kept her because I thought two dolls at once (one at Christmas, and another a few days later on her birthday) was too extravagant a gift, especially since that was too soon to see if she really liked the doll. And by giving just one doll, then I could make clothes to go with her. Right now I'm in 'wait & see' mode, and I'll decide what to do with taylor later.

What a difference! And the biggest one for me is the neck modding.

I agree. That's one of my pet peeves with doll photos - dolls staring off into space when they are theoretically supposed to be looking at something down in front of them. With such a posable doll, I don't understand why they didn't make the neck joint better.

She's lovely now! I would not have any idea how to modify a neck, but agree it is a very nice feature in a doll.

I just want to know how she DID the neck mod. I would like to try that with my girl Mona (a MiM Hailey). :-)

Love the dress. So pretty.

You'd have to ask Charie Wilson. She's on Facebook, and has an Etsy shop.

Thank you so much for these photos. Taylor looks really pretty now, what a difference ! She is delicious posing with her bears in a world of color.
