Surprise!

Today Ruby Red Fashion Friends released a teaser photo of the beautiful doll that we've been collaborating on. They've named her Zora, and she was based on my design for the Princess and the Frog. They've done a great job reproducing the classic Medieval style gown many of my ball-jointed dolls wear. I especially love the elaborate trims they used on the underskirt and hanging sleeves.
She will be released as a Limited Edition very soon.

So, I guess the 'cats out of the bag' so to speak, as to why I had been posting photos of Ruby Red dolls every now and then. It's because I needed a few of their actual dolls in order to sew my sample costumes for.
Anyways, it's all very exciting!

I am not a big fan of the fashion friends (just me on the joints seem wonky), but I love this one.

Thanks. Yes, they can be challenging to pose, but it's mostly just a matter of getting used to them to coax them to do what I want - or learning how to deal with their limitations. The one thing that I really do love about them is how their head swivels. That is such a great feature, and makes them very expressive.

They really have caught the essence of your fabulous costume skills for dolls. Amazing!

And it was a surprise to me.......to see one of (what I thought was) your dolls on their website. Heheheheee
