Soa in the Snow

We had a bit of snow overnight, so I thought I'd better take advantage of it before it melts. With two JIDs needing costumes, my focus has been turning to my middle-size dolls of late. Kassia came out of the cabinet for a Colour photo yesterday, and Asa is standing there in her underwear, ready for some shoes - and the rest of her costume. With all the attention on my Tiny dolls, the larger ones have been sorely neglected, and I've almost forgotten just how beautiful they are. It's high time to get reacquainted.  So I took Soa out for some photos in the snow.....

Soa is currently wearing Aeran's Celtic Maiden outfit. I don't have any spare MSD-size outfits, and normally slim MSDs and JIDs can't share clothes, but I specifically made the costume to fit a JID. Since nothing was tight-fitting, with an adjustable belt it would fit all my MSD girls.

I love my Soa. Even though she started out as KID, I've had no problems at all adjusting to her becoming a JID - like she should have been all along. I can't say the same for Peach. Poor girl just doesn't seem to fit in. I may just have to replace her.

What fabulous photos of your girl........and what an amazing outfit too! Wow!

I am not familiar with the Iplehouse doll sculpts.....but am I correct in understanding you swapped this doll onto a more mature body? She certainly looks perfect on this one, she has a mature face.

Good luck with your decision about Peach.

Yes, I originally got her as an attempt at an older child, and she did look nice, but didn't work with my smaller dolls at all. So I got Peach on the more mature body, and did the switcheroo, as Peach is really supposed to be the older child, and Soa the mature young lady. That worked for Soa, but then I had resin issues with Peach, and Iplehouse washed their hands of any responsibility, and even though Charie fixed her face and hid the resin issue, I've still had issues with her ever since.

So sorry to hear Peach is not working, as she is a beautiful sculpt. Poo on Iplehouse for not fixing the problem (of course, I am STILL trying to get in touch with them about my account because I really want to order a doll from them and am not happy that I never get an answer). Hopefully you will find a way to either accept her, or sell her to someone who will love her.

You know, maybe I'm going about it all wrong. Dolls normally will let you know what they want to be, and it usually doesn't work to "force" them. Peach just isn't working as a "modern girl", so maybe what she needs is something historical or fantasy. She looks really lovely in her Victorian outfit. Maybe she wants to be a Medieval girl.

Now that is is REALLY good thought! Good luck finding out if it works.
But I have a feeling you are more than half way to the answer of why Peach isn't work just yet!

Now that would be wonderful to see. She has that sort of face.

And suddenly I have a song in my head: "We're living in a Medieval World, and I am a Medieval girl..."

Apologies to Madonna. ;-)
