"It's too boring. We make them every year."
Ringo didn't seem very interested in helping with the paper chains. "It's too boring. We make them every year." "Well, I have an idea for something else you might enjoy. Do you have any plain white paper? So, off he went, and soon returned with several sheets... "If you cut a square, then fold it in half, then thirds, and in half again, like this, and then cut away bits along the two long sides..." "you get a snowflake!" Everyone wanted to try it.... ...and Naomi started putting them up on the window.... Paige made a beautiful snowflake.... But Ringo and Nami had a bit of a problem trying to fold the paper (like most people) so their snowflakes only had four points.... So Monica started folding the papers for them.... "Now have beautiful snow storm...right here inside...."

There's only ONE way to fold the paper for proper six-pointed snowflakes. But most people (children and adults alike) have difficulty with the second step, folding the paper into thirds, so they end up with the incorrect four pointed ones. Comments are closed.
