Presenting Kassia, the Snow Fairy, with her new wings.....
I had to take advantage of yesterday's snowstorm to take the photo I'd envisioned of Kassia and the animals (which I'd made her wings for) and before the deep freeze settles back in tonight for the rest of the week. But with roads still impassible, I had to find somewhere on my own property. The cedar hedge along the north side seemed about right, so I hauled out the slide-projector stand, put a board on top, and shovelled some snow onto it. Then posed Kassia and her friends... I had to shovel some spaces into Jan's snow piles, so I could take photos from a better angle, and I had to pay attention that the horse especially, wasn't right in front of a really snowy part of the hedge, since I wanted him to stand out. Then I snapped photos until my hands got too painful from the cold, and I had to take everything back inside. But the resulting pictures were well worth it.....

Thank you Donna! I was quite pleased with the photos, and happy it could be done right outside my side door.

Thank you! I had originally envisioned them out in the woods, but there was way too much snow for that. Maybe another time.

How beautiful she looks. Thanks for the behind the scenes photo, which I always like.

That's why I took it! Plus to show what extremes I'll go to to get a nice photo.

Thanks! She is beautiful enough with just the dress, but each winter I make something new to add, so photos aren't always the same.

She's exquisite, and so are the photos! Also love the sweet animal friends and the beautiful snowy background. The "behind the scenes" picture is also very interesting (and burrrr - so cold looking!). Comments are closed.
