With all the in and out, taking photos with my porcelain dolls, Nyssa's baby had an accident.... Her doll fell on the floor, and the whole head shattered into pieces.... It was broken into so many pieces that it would be impossible to glue back together ... "No, I'm afraid this time she can't be fixed..."

Martha, oh my goodness! Did this really happen or is it a story line? If it happened, I think I will be in tears with Nyssa. Her tears were adorable by the way.

Yes, the doll really broke. But it wasn't Nyssa who did it.

Thanks for sharing that. Poor Nyssa. I hope Santa delivers a new doll for Christmas to her (and to you - chuckle).

Ah, the poor dollies! Hope she gets a new doll soon. Great looking tears, btw! Very real and excellent storytelling in those shots.

Thanks! Nothing like a few well-placed drops of water to add to the sorrow

Poor little Nyssa. You pose the dolls so realistically, it's hard to believe they have static expressions. You manage to have both Nyssa and Elin show so much "emotion", it really makes the story come to life.

Thanks! The only way to create 'feelings' with static dolls, is through the posing and camera angles. It's always very satisfying when it works out. And it's not always on purpose either. Comments are closed.
