I always prefer taking doll photos in the shade, or when the sun is low in a hazy sky, but the dandelions wouldn't wait - you never know when someone is going to mow them all down.
One of my favourite dandelion spots is beside an old age home in town, which is always full of dandelions, and they stay short, perfect for doll photos. Last year we didn't make it in time, as they were all mowed off just before we arrived. This year they were still there, but it was very bright and sunny, so I took the photos in the last post anyways. But then the umbrella came out....

It's always a challenge when there's a shaded foreground with a bright sunny background, because it's impossible to shade the whole background. But I reshot many of the sunny scenes anyways....
