Shadow, the King's 'dog' had followed the men back from the stable.
Picture
Naomi, who had always been rather drawn to animals, came over to look...
Picture
"But...he's a wolf..."
Picture
"Yes, he is..."
Picture
"Papa found him when he was just a little orphaned cub, and brought him home. His name is Shadow."
Picture
"He's perfectly gentle...and has never hurt anyone. He's the best 'dog' I've ever had."
Picture
"He loves the children, and they love him..."
Picture
Naomi was intrigued...
Picture
"Hello Shadow..."

Picture
"Seems he likes you..."

I love finding him in your pics, so it is nice to see him front and centre! :)

I realized he should be in the scenes too, so 'wrote him in'.

Shadow is a good ice breaker for Naomi and the King.

It is so interesting to see how a static figure like Shadow can be made to "move" by the way you position and photograph him. He looks like he's interacting with all of them, and the children keep moving around him.

I notice in the final photo that Ringo has moved over close to his new friend Naomi.

Definitely. I think Monica and Lawrence planned a lot of what was going on in order for Naomi to ease into their family. Baron might be totally comfortable since he's known them forever, but I can imagine the situation would be totally overwhelming for Naomi, who I'm sure wanted to make a good impression.

Yes, I had to prop Shadow up on one side so it looked like he was looking up a bit. Then hide the support under someone's skirt. Thankfully the story is all in still photos, so it doesn't matter that he's not posable.
