Sending Cards

Today, February 7th, is 'Send a Card to a Friend' Day, so Lisa was trying to write some cards....

Then Elin and Nyssa interrupted her....."What are you doing??"

"I'm trying to write some cards to my friends..."

"These look really pretty..."

"Could me and Elin write one to our friends too??"

"Sure, you can each take one..."

"I like this one!"

"And I like this one...

'What should we write??"

"I don't know.."

'Well, you girls think about it, and come back when you know...:

"Now, where was I??"

I'm ever amazed at how real you make your dolls look!

Thanks! I think it just takes practice. Although I am a perfectionist, and that helps too.

I took the first set of photos yesterday evening, but everyone's hair kept creeping across their face - especially Lisa's. So I removed her wig, rubbed some hair gel into it, and let it dry overnight, and re-shot this morning with better light. Much better!

I doubt many people 'write' physical cards and letters anymore - it's become a vintage form of communicating - which is why I chose my Victorian girls to do it.

Cute! I love the card with the swans on the front. Just one little note, today is February 7th, not January. I thought you may want to make that change in your story. ;)

Thanks for pointing that out! Fixed it.

I just googled Vintage Victorian Cards, grabbed some, shrank them, printed them out in colour, cut and glued them onto folded cardstock
