Rudolph

Holly and Coco had some friends over....

...and they were playing with Rudolph and his friends...

When their big sister Lonnie, came into the room....

"Would you like me to read you the story?"
Picture
Picture
"Yes, we would love that!"

So they gathered round ... while Lonnie read the story.....
Picture
"You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall the most famous reindeer of all?
Picture
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows..."
Picture
"All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games..."
Picture
"Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say....
"Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Picture
Picture
"Then how the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, you'll go down in history"

Love me some Rudolph! I have a collection of things from that franchise, but have found nothing new to add to it this year. Those ornaments are really cute and so are the outfits on the dolls. I love how naturally you pose your kids.

Thank you. I try to pose my dolls as realistically as possible.

Those ornaments are quite old. There's two sets of three minis and the one bigger one.

This is so warm and sweet and natural. The children all look real. I love how you've woven in both the poem and the song.

I grew up in New England and for years thought one of Santa's reindeer had the same name as mine because that was how everyone pronounced it... Donner :o)

Donna, that is so funny! I had an aunt by marriage who lived in the Boston area. I loved to hear her say the word "car."

I love going to Boston. It is beautiful there. I just don't like going in Winter. It is freezing.

Thanks. I wanted Lonnie to be 'reading' something, and the text from the book would be way too long, so I opted for just the poem from the song.

That's funny how we as children hear things the way we do.

I can hear the song, sung by Gene Autry, as I read the words.

I love how the children's outfits can be for Fall in general or for the Christmas holidays specifically.

Lonnie is a great big sister.

Each of my small dolls has their own outfit specifically for when it's not summer. Each one has a sweater and hat for fall and spring, and there's a scarf, mittens, and boots that make them work for winter too.
