Just outside Witless Bay, we noticed one of the ponds was full of miniature boats.... There were some other people standing there talking to an older man, who it turned out, lived across the road, and had made all kinds of miniature boats, and ships, which he had anchored in the pond allowing them to float around somewhat freely.... There were also fishing sheds and docks around the shore.... All manned with an assortment of small dolls.... David and Ringo brought out their boats in the hopes they could sail them there too... David brought his big schooner.... ..and Ringo brought his smaller boat.... But it started to rain, and neither wanted to get wet again, so left. But I wanted to take a few photos of some of the old-timey ships, in case they might prove useful in Rex and Bianca's story....

It was wise of the boys to choose not to get wet. They might have caught a cold (smile).

I love spots like this. I know of several others around the Maritimes, but didn't see them this time.

How cool is that! It's a perfect place for the boys to play. Did you have a chance to talk with the man who created them all? If anyone could appreciate your dolls, I'd expect he could.

Not really. He was just finished talking with the other people, and I asked if had made them, and he said yes, he did. Then he left and went home across the road. So he never saw my dolls and their boats. Comments are closed.
