Retiring!

Today is Jan's very last day at work! They threw a retirement party for him at work yesterday, and these are the last few leftover cupcakes. Yup, they got the wilderness and a boat right! The fish not so much. He'd rather be paddling in his kayak. Even so, it's the thought that counts....

So now he can play full-time, just like me. I wonder how it's going to go with us both being
home all day? Well, for one thing, if it's a good day and I have a photo idea, we can go out
and take it. No more hoping the weather on weekend afternoons will cooperate.

So today we start on a whole new adventure in life, and all I can say is,
"How did we get so old so fast?"

Martha and yes when you start working, we say that retirement is far away, and then one day you wake up and there, it is there ............ I mine comes in 2 years and like you, I ask myself, how this happened so fast ........

Congratulations to Jan on his retirement. I retired a year ago all I can say is: It's the best! Remember, you're only as old as you feel. As for me, I feel like a kid inside.
