Recovering

After a whole week and holiday weekend of weird toothaches, last week was spent being referred from one dental specialist to another - I saw three in all - and on Saturday morning I underwent a difficult tooth extraction. An old root canal had cracked and my jaw was infected. That tooth just had a brand new crown put on back in May!  What a waste of money!

Anyway, I followed their suggestion of ice pack for 15 minutes alternating with thirty minutes off, for the first 24 hours, so the swelling is minimal, and the pain wasn't even that bad. The worst were/are the prescription drugs and their nasty side-effects. One pain killer was more than enough, and I'll NEVER take that one again.

Today is the third day, and everything feels worse - just like they said it would.

Now our long-anticipated trip is also in jeopardy, due to a second issue which presented at the exact same time as the tooth, but had to take a back seat.  Hopefully things will work out this week, and we will still be able to go on a shorter fall trip closer to home, staying within a day's drive of home. Totally sucks!  I'd so been looking forward to doll photos in the mountains.  And visiting our son in Vancouver too, of course.

Oh my ! I'm so very sorry for you ! I do hope everything goes well eventually and that you can do that fall trip. I'll be thinking of you !
My dolls all want to hug that little boy who looks so sad with his toothaches !

Poor little Ringo and poor you!! You both need a hug and some TLC.
Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon, and will be able to enjoy a fall vacation trip closer to home.

Ringo has the right idea - snuggle up comfortably with a good book, some favourite things, some soft food and a nice cup of tea.

I feel so sorry for you. If i could, i'd give you a big hug and promise that everything will work out fine. But unfortunately that's impossible, so all i can do is keep my fingers crossed that your fall trip will take place.
Keep cool and give yourself a few days to recover.

I feel sorry for you, toothache can really make life unpleasant :( - I admire you that even in pain you are able to prepare composition and take pictures of dolls. I hope you get better soon.

I am so sorry that all your long anticipated plans have been spoilt ((huge hugs)) and I am so sorry that you are in so much pain too.

Take care and I hope you can have a short holiday, even if it has to be near home.

Poor Ringo too *sigh*
