The first two days were long and hot - over 34C - and endless farmland. Over 2,100 km of endless cornfields, first through Michigan, then the tip of Indiana, then all of Illinois and Iowa. I was so ready for a change of scenery, so today was cool and rainy! Not exactly what I had in mind! On the Snowy Ridge Road in southern Wyoming, we were caught in a blizzard in the mountains. Owen and Bonnie dared to venture out in it, but we're frozen and covered in snow in no time. Later, Peach and Bonnie went out to explore Marie Lake high in the mountains.

How lovely to hear from you! I can't imagine cornfields bigger than a country *gasp*

Well, the USA is one mighty big country! They had really bad hailstorms here in Denver yesterday, but high in the mountains it was all snow. So the road in Rocky Mountain Nat. Pk was closed, but we found another high mountain pass covered with snow, and even took a few doll photos. This time it was Leona, Efreet and Bonnie that ventured out - all with warm scarves and hats of course.

That's for sure! I like snow just fine, especially on mountains, but It's disappointing when it means things get closed.

But we just checked their website, and Pike's Peak is open today, so maybe we'll get some 'mountain climbing' in today. Assuming I can still think clearly at that elevation! I think the road goes almost to the top, and well over 12,000'. I can handle 10,000' for a little while, but not so sure about that much higher. My brain requires ample amounts of oxygen to function properly!

Even without photos it's nice to hear how your trip is going. The weather sounds interesting and certainly variable! Your descriptions of the settings and which dolls ventured out are tantalizing. Can't wait to see your pictures!!

yesterday we visited the Denver Botanical Gardens. They currently have a Chihuly exhibit there. I was so thrilled to learn of that exhibit knowing we'd be in the area. The blown glass amongst the plants were amazing! We went to a Chihuly exhibit in Phoenix a few years ago, and there his 'boats' were displayed in desert surroundings. But here in Denverthey were in the water. The sun even came out for a bit, and the reflections were amazing! I took Peach and Bonnie along into the Gardens, but there weren't meant opportunities to photograph them with the glass, as it quickly got crowded, and I don't like to take photos with that many people watching.
